Etourvy > Magny le Cahouët

85 km

Today, I am following the canal of Bourgogne. I've started the day with a long climb and then follow the river during the rest of the day. The blue sky is back and I certainly did take too many photos. Enjoy.

I said good bye to Lucie and Adé and I’m now on the road. It’s climbing straight away.

The weather is perfect today!

Zipping downhill

Arriving to Mélisey.

I’m going off road.

So nice!

Joining the river, I will follow it for the rest of the day. I’m going up stream.

A little break.

Checking if my bike was ok, I discovered that the screws of the “big nose” were getting out. Ouch!

Fixing my pig nose!

Let’s keep going.

Every lock house seems to be built exactly the same way.

Another break.

Second break

Let’s go on the road for a change. I’ll follow those guys.

I could have continue the path along the river but it was making a big loop so I’m doing a short bit on the road.

First I went to a supermarket and then looked online if I could find a library but it was close. Then I looked closely to that place, went in and realised it is a co-working space. Just what I was looking for!

Working

It’s 5pm, I’m back on the road.

All along the cycle way, we can see those info panels.

Little bloggy break

I haven’t found what I am looking for so far.

That’s a cool little hut along rhe river.

Really?

Well, no. I didn’t see any opened campsite.

That place is not too bad but it’s too close to habitations.

Those 2 trees are perfect.

After turn around the village, I’ve decided to come back here.

Setting up camp

My hammock is set up :-)

My hammock is set up :-

I’ve got the view, I can ear the sound of the “dam” section. My bike is right under me so it should be fine. Good night!
