After 3 nights spent in Te Puna where I unexpectedly worked, I’m now going towards the center of north island to see how it looks over there.
There is two roads that join Rotorua but this one (Road 36) is the shortest and the best way to go there.
I like the style of these kiwi cultures 🙂 It almost looks like artistic installations.
Here, we can do a lot of stuff!
- Walking
- Horse riding
- Mountain bike
- Target shooting
- Motorsports
- Wheel driving
- and Motorcycling.
That sounds like a cool place 🙂
I don’t intend to do any of these activities but right now, for me, it’s the perfect place to go to the toilets and have a break after 38km.
Resting a bit
This is Lake Rotorua. In Maori its name is Te Rotorua nui ā Kahumatamomoe.
Now I just have to turn around to find the camp.
I’m happy to get here because after almost four days off it’s difficult to restart cycling.
Go go go! You can do it little duck 🙂
Cycling around the lake
I always see these big houses with a beautiful view.
Green green green :-). I’m almost at my destination. This last road vibrates so much that my bike makes noises every where. I don’t like that…
Arrived at the campsite. Something unusual here.
Aaaah, I’m installed. As always, I have so much place for myself 🙂 This campsite is particularly cheap with a better accommodation as others I’ve visited. It cost 40$ for 3 nights with hot swimming pool and spa 🙂 Great! And, AND, there is something special here, something that William should like :-). William if you are on this page (and if your read in English haha), watch attentively the next coming pictures… 🙂
Let's have a tour
There are dinosaurs everywhere in this camp 🙂
Look at that hot swimming pool 🙂
What is that building over there?
Kitchen…
…and TV room, library, expensive internet access, blablabla…
For the last picture of the day… a macro flower 🙂
