Today is the final step on my way from Cambodia to France. I left China in the middle of the night and arrived at sunset in Paris. Then I did few things in Paris before taking the train to my family place. All good :-)

Gonna land soon

Landed just for sunset!

9Β°C! I’m wearing short and flip-flops, all good π .

Careful with my stuff guys :-)

That could not be the worse timing…Β As soon as I walked out of my seat my flip-flop broke…

I picked up my flip-flops and as soon as one of the airline’s staff saw me they helped. They had one single pair of disposable (unfortunately) slippers in one of their storage. First the woman tried to picked them up but her arm was too short so I did it myself. Very stylish hey? π

Out of the plane, in slippers…
Walking out of the airport

That’s an expensive ticket for train to Paris + a ticket pass for Paris’ subway. I’m not sure I will travel though Paris too much so I could have save some money here. First mistake of the day.

Finally in the RER B.

All my stuff! Fortunately, I will carry that bicycle like this only once!
The guy on the station platform when he saw me coming said:
Is that heavy right?
Indeed it is!
That's what I was thinking, that looks heavy :-)

I did not realized I was going the wrong way… I looked at the wrong sign earlier. While one way was straight to the train and the over had to go below the track and come back up, I didn’t look carefully enough and saw what I wished.
Taking the Metro in the right direction this time!

Ouch, my bag broke too! It’s only 9 kg but it’s too old I guess. That’s not the first time it break though.

And one more time! Ok, that bag seems cooked. It did not like travelling apparently π .
Packing up my stuff in the lockers of the train station

I’m now cycling in Paris. Looking for a specific bicycle shop where to hand over my Rolhoff hub for repair.
Cycling to Decathlon!

Fancy bike for transporting anything, even kids.

The price is fancy too!

I think I really need a new waterproof bag. Mine is 14 years old and not waterproof since a long time as there are holes all over. I’ll pick the yellow one so I’ll be very visible once I’m touring later on.

Looking for cheap food, hopefully!

I found a bakery (thanks Carl) that sells sandwiches for 6.5 β¬.
Lunch time

Finally, after a long wait, I’m in the train to Romilly. I missed the first one. Actually I was on time but when I got to the right platform, the screen said “This train do not take any passenger” and also “This train is late, 25 minutes”. The gates were closed and I saw passengers leaving the train too. Weird. After an hour and a half, when the next train arrived, the guy checking the tickets didn’t allow me to come in straight away because my ticket was not for that train. He said “let’s check with the controller first”. One woman said she had the same issue and was refused to come in. Fortunately she did allow me to come in! Otherwise I would have had to buy a second train ticket… In the end, everything is good :-) I’m on the right way now :-)
Now I’ve got one more bag, lol. I unpacked my bike and could not decide if I should through away all those card board and my old back pack. I could fix it again! For now, I’ll keep it :-)

Colza field :-)

Typical Northern style french village.
On the way to Romilly

Romilly sur Seine under a beautiful blue sky :-)

I did arrived!

My nephew showing off that he can climb trees now, wearing rubber boots haha. Not the best shoes for this activity though.

Under the sun it’s too hot but under the shade it’s too cold. Hard choice to make π .
That’s the end of that Cambodia > Korea > China > France Adventure. More coming later hopefully!
