Today I am cycling in Côte d'Or along the canal of Bourgogne. It's very quiet, very green, very clean. I also go through some Bojolais wine domaines, very beautiful.

My first night in wild camping was cold. Peaceful but brrrr, I did not sleep so well.

I will have to dry my hammock and gear before I go. It’s all wet.

Fog is covering the canal.
Packing

Finally, an hour later, I am ready to ride.

The start of a beautiful day again.

Water at 1km. Yes!

Once I arrived in the village I could not find where was the tap. I asked a woman who told me “inside, nearby the gate”.

Yep :-)
Back to the canal

I arrived in Pouilly-en-Auxois.

The city center. I am looking for a bakery who sells sandwiches.

I’ve got 2 sandwiches, one for now and another for tonight. Let’s have lunch here.
Lunch time

Back on the road.

That’s a fancy lock house!

This must be Chateauneuf-en-Auxois.

I am doing a small but if road.

Giant coquelico! It’s the size of my opened hand!

I’m in the middle of a climb. I mist push the bike because it’s too steep. The village at the top is Crepey. The steepest climb of the day.

Going uphill!

Finally!

Arriving in Meursault.

Very beautiful here.

Snack and rest

Back on the road through the vignards

That’s Puligny-Montrachet.

Here was my destination for today but I don’t feel the place. I will keep going a bit more.

This time, I found my spot for tonight.

And I have drinkable water! I will take a shower too. Perfect!

5 stars camping. Good night!
