Today we met a young man sailing on the Canal du Midi. The wind was strong and his small electric engine was struggling to more forward so we hooked him to our boat and travelled together for a little while. The guy is on his way to Royen, on the west coast.
They started with 2 people few days a weeks ago (I forgot) but his friend left. This is a very tiny boat so being 2 on it must have been quite tight.
Some time later
30 minutes or so later, the wind calmed dow a little and our visitor went back on his tiny boat. See you man 👋.
We continue our way on a very straight canal with pine trees all along.
Finally, we arrived around Mirepeisset where we parked for the night.
We were not sure if we were allowed to stay here for the night. Max went around the house to ask.
It’s very peaceful and quiet here.
After Max asked the house owner if we could stay (Yes was their answer) they came out to say hello. Gilles was getting ready to play pétanque and as soon as they knew that, they went back and brought a set of balls. Nicky and her husband Hans are visiting her sister here from Wallonie. We had a game together. Nicky and Hans were so happy to be able to play pétanque 😊.
