St Rémy > Carlux

94 km

Today is a long day but the wind pushed me most of the time. The stone houses in the region are qui nice.

It’s 7:30 am. I’m leaving the cemetery. I did not see Jacques or his wife before leaving so, yeah.

The sun is about to rise 😊.

A little while later

Les lobies, ça suffit. Good one :-)

Like yesterday, the weather is cloudy but dry.

Commune of Montcuq… 😅

Village “Le Trepadou”.

I need to stop because I’ve seen a great view nearby.

Wow, such a great view from here.

Castelfranc is on the over side. There are building a new bridge here!

I expected to find a bakery here to have an early lunch (it’s 10:25am) but the bakery is closed…

Église Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption de Castelfranc.

A while later

I’m following the “bicycle” track called VeLot.

Let’s have a break, another one.

Long uphill

I know “Les Arcs”, but not that place 😅.

Certainly some cabin that people rent during the high season.

I’ve seen an interesting building in this village called Gindou.

That one.

The last steep hill before lunch break in Salviac.

Having a knife is useful. I can make my own sandwiches now 😀.

lunch break

Before leaving, I’m gonna refill my water 😊.

Now leaving.

Welcome to Dordogne.

Well actually, I was on the wrong road. The one with the sign is on the right hand side of this photo but I needed to turn right 😅 which is up hill.

Pushing the bike up hill again.

Fortunately the landscape is always rewarding.

Wood or plastic?

I’m in front of the lake “La Mouline”.

This is the Dordogne river.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on an refurbished train track.

Beautiful village.

And nice house!

On more look at Dordogne river. I’m following it.

Finally, I’ve found a very nice spot, well, I think!

Tomorrow morning I’ll start the morning with a up hill and then another one, before going down to Brive La-Gaillarde. I need to be at McDo before 11am because I’ve got a short video call with a client.

Pas bien beaucoup de monde dans ces petits villages. Il faut vraiment être à vélo pour les découvrir 😊😘
