Today, I'm definitely moving away from the Rhône river and start to move East and towards the coast. I used to kinda go down little by little but for the rest of my trip I'll be climbing slightly until I drop down to Fréjus. Also I've met my mom and Gilles today while they were driving to the north.

Last night was okay but I wish I had sleep a little more as always. Let’s pack everything and start the day.
Packing up

It’s now 6:49 am. I’m starting early today :-)

The sign, which is the name of the street, says “Path behind the park”. I didn’t see any park though 😅.

These are well organised rubbish bins! household waste, organic waster, paper, glass, plastic and cardboard ? Something like this.

That’s a very very straight cycle route.

I’m arriving in Jonquière. That building is an old train station that has been transformed to a restaurant.

I’m looking for a bakery.

Back to the old train station for…

… breakfast.
Breakfast time

Back on the road.

I cannot see the end of it!

I’m now arriving in Sarrians, a small village.

Another old train station transformed in a café/restaurant.

Arriving now in Carpentras through the old train tracks.

I was looking for public toilets but I did not like the idea of leaving my bike outside so I put it in. It’s convenient to have a small bicycle :-) It’s fit everywhere 😁.

While I am cycling down, my mom and Gilles are driving up North. We found a way to meet in Carpentras 😊.

We are having lunch in the city center.
Lunch time

My mom and Gilles are back on the road and myself on the train track the opposite way.

That’s l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The water is crystal clear!

Olive trees are growing on each side of the road.

I’m entering the Lubéron area, the same area where Max, Mom and Gilles did there cycling tour in 2024.

That river is called La Durance.

This is the village called Mallemort.

I;m having a break here then I’ll keep going along the Durance to find a spot.
Diner time

Let’s go.

I’m getting closer to a spot I’ve seen on the map. I think it is good.

Wow, yes. That’s nice! The view and the sunset are great.

I’m gonna have a short swim down there. The water is cold so I won’t stay long for sure!
Setting up camp

I could not really found trees with the right space but this roof thing will do it perfectly 😁.

Sunset.

It’s now 9:11 pm, time to try to update my blog and sleep.
