This morning we cycled with Max to a viewpoint of the old pond of Montady where fields are laid out in a circle fashion. Then we got through the 7 locks again. This time, on the way down. After the locks, we stopped to visit Béziers before finding a spot a little further down the canal.
After roughly an hour of navigation, we stopped at Colombiers to refill the boat.
While doing that, we went on a short cycle trip with Max.
This is the old pond of Montady (Wikipedia).
It’s situated between Montady and Colombiers (Maps).
The fields look like a dartboard where irrigation comes from the center.

Back to the 7 Fonseranes locks.

We park at the Béziers’ harbour and will go for a visit. We met Leanne with her Australian friends again 😁. We are definitely moving at the same pace and keep bumping to each other. That’s cool 😁.
We cross the train tracks.
We start the visit with the parc called “Plateau des poètes”.
That duck on the right hand side is so fancy.

We walk now towards the city center.
They even have banana trees.
We walk up the avenue Paul Riquet. There are many association’s stores.

The Cathedral Saint-Nazère. There must have been a big storm recently because 2 trees fell around here.

We reached the river again.
That’s it for today. We will walk back to the harbour following the canal. Then we will get on the boat again and move a little further boat staying there cost money 😊
