Pourcieux > Pélissanne

72 km

Today I'm get through the last 2 passes of my trip to Agde. After Aix-en-Provence it's going down and then will be nearly flat. I'll stop earlier than previous days to work and will do some late afternoon cycling instead. Something like that.

Ready to go. The entrance of Pourcieux is just outside of this parking.

Right here :-)

A 3.00€ tea + toilets break.

Quick stop

Back in the country side.

This morning I’ll mostly follow Sainte-Victoire mountain.

It’s gonna be on most of my photos :-)

Ouch! 3rd flat tire since I left Romilly sur Seine.

Repair in Progress

Fixed!

40 minutes later I’m back on the road. I missed that cool morning start… Hopefully the fixation will last.

I’ll look for breakfast.

Breakfast

I’ve never been that close to Sainte-Victoire.

Some hills later

From here, this is mostly downhill!

The Cézanne’s mill.

Nice colour!

Lavender field. These have already been harvested unfortunately.

Arriving in Aix-en-Provence

This city is so clean!

Let’s get few fresh fruits & veggies.

Blue berries and figs.

Kiwi, pear, tomatoes and carrot.

Few shots further, I reached a bicycle shop. I want to buy 2 spare inner tubes. I called the guy earlier and “yes” he has some. I could not find them anywhere else so far.

I’m all set now.

Let’s search for McDo, again. This time I’ll work earlier and will leave around 4pm to cycle somewhere around Salon-en-Provence.

This building is the “Grand Theatre de Provence“.

Working

Leaving my “office” :-)

I’m about to leave Aix-en-Provence.

Sorry, NOW I’m about to leave the city.

Last hill of the day

Phew! I’ve reached Éguille. From here it’s all going down. Closer to the road there is a water tap. I’ve wash my cycling clothes and will rest for an hour while they are drying.

I know, it looks so homeless but whatever. At that point, I don’t care anymore ahah.

This fountain has been very useful!

Going downhill, yes!

Not the most interesting road in term of landscape but it’s fast, which is nice.

I’ve crossed that EDF canal already on my previous trip to Fréjus.

Arriving in Pélissane. This village has toilets, water and hopefully a good spot somewhere nearby.

I’ve been cycling through in width and height looking for a spot and also for diner. The first food truck I asked told me they cannot serve before 21h15. That’s in more than one hour. Then I tried a pizza place. Same thing. Wow, that village is busy!

Finally, I’ll go to a japanese restaurant. I missed Japanese food :-)

Having diner

I did not see her coming !

Once I’m done I will cycle few minutes to the north-West’s edge of the village. They are trees along a stream which should be perfect. See ya!

Le canal est le canal de Provence… D’où provient l’eau de mon tonneau 😏.
