Today, I'm reaching the highest point of my trip going the "Forêt Domoniales de Chabrières" at about 650m. My wheel with 2 spokes missing is still doing okay. I'm worried another one will break and I will have to cancel my adventure…
Last night was peaceful. I was away from the traffic. No nocturnal animals came around. All good. The tarp is wet again so I’ll have to pack it as is and dry it later.
Finally, I’m leaving the area.
The entrance is just that. Pretty open and kinda secret at the same time. I’m glad I found it 😊.

I am reaching the summit of my trip from Toulouse to Romilly.
I’ve seen these trees since I left Toulouse. Their spiky fruits fall on the road and I’m always worried I’ll get a flat tire. So far foing okay but…
Beautiful forest. Except that a guy nearby is cutting a tree. I hope is does it legally!
Nope Geovelo. I will not follow your track recommendation on this one. This look dodgy and it does not fit my broken wheel.
The main road is busier but smoother.
I arrived in Guéret, right on time again for my online meeting.

5 hours 30 minutes I’m hitting the road again. Today I plan to do a “by night” cycling, for a change 😉.

I’ve reached Glenic. The view is good. There is a table on that small terrace and a cemetery a little further behind for fresh water. I think that’s the best place for dinner.
Dinner time
Roughly an hour later, I’m back on the road. That guy with the yellow vest just overtook me with a big smile on his face. So happy with his electric bike 😁.
The lighting becomes beautiful at that time. It’s 7pm.
An hour later
I’m almost there. Actually I planned to cycle further but it’s getting too dark. Finding a spot will be tricky. I’ve seen on the map that there is a village called Bétête. It’s on top of a hill but that’s find.
I did it but that slope is not finished yet.

After looking around that small lake I’ve found on Maps, I’ve settled here for the night. See ya.

Pas vu de loups? Tant mieux 😊. Les forêts sont magnifiques. Tu vas arriver dans le Morvan en principe. Belle région boisée et très nature.
