Today is the hardest day of that 4 days trip to Toulouse. We crossed the pass of the Black Mountain to get on the other side and join an old railway track.

This morning, we woke up at 6:40 am.
Packing

We cross the river and will meet the sun very soon.

Here it is π.
Short break

We found a bakery for a mini breakfast.
Back to the country side

That’s the village that we cam from.

Many hills are short but steep. We must push the bike.

On the horizon, the “Black Mountain” is waiting for us.

We are surrounded by vineyards.

Water refill at the local cemetery. Note, they always have drinkable water. That’s good to know!

Let’s go?

Here on the hill to the pass. It’s actually easier than we thought.
Crossing the pass

Now it’s downhill all the way to BΓ©darieux where we will have lunch.

How about a kebab?
Lunch break

Let’s keep going until we find a spot to rest during the hot hours.

On an disaffected railway again.

I did not expect to see a McDo around here but here we are. I’ll update the blog and we can rest for few hours.
2 hours later

Back on the saddle.

We see a lot of villages from the railway track. We plan to stop at the next one to get water.

Drinkable water tap found.

The city center of Le-Poujols-sur-Orb.

Short break

Back on the road.

Last stretch to Olargues

We arrived in Olargues. We found a spot right at the entrance of the village. PΓ©tanque is going on.

We parked the bikes on the opposite side of the restaurant for a drink.
Apero time

We do a quick tour of the village in case there is a better spot for the night.

This is a pizza place which closes every Tuesday. Perfect timing for us π .

And this is where we will pitch our camp for the night. The building on the right hand side is a college. On the left there is a green area and the green cycle way coming in. It should be quite.

Le plus dur est fait, mais le plus joli aussi… peut-Γͺtre ππ
